TS EAMCET 2026 Counseling Process — A Complete Step-by-Step Guide

9 min read RankPilot4U Guide

Phase-wise breakdown of TG EAPCET counseling — registration, certificate verification, web options, allotment and self-reporting.

TS EAMCET (officially TG EAPCET) counseling is conducted by TSCHE in three rounds for engineering, agriculture and pharmacy seats across Telangana. This guide walks through every step so nothing surprises you on D-day.

1. Counseling timeline (typical pattern)

Counseling usually opens 2–3 weeks after results. Each round runs:

  • Registration & slot booking — 4 days
  • Certificate verification (online) — 5 days
  • Web options entry — 3 days
  • Seat allotment release
  • Self-reporting & college reporting

2. Eligibility & documents

Keep these scanned at 300 DPI before counseling opens:

  • EAMCET rank card + hall ticket
  • SSC marks memo (DOB proof)
  • Intermediate marks memo + certificate
  • Study certificates Class 4–10 (for local status)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Income certificate (for fee reimbursement)
  • Aadhaar card
  • Passport-size photo, signature

3. Registration & slot booking

You pay a non-refundable processing fee (~₹1,200 for OC / ~₹600 for SC/ST/BC) and pick a 1-hour slot for online certificate verification (OCV). Pick the earliest slot — every hour matters when colleges fill up.

4. Web options entry

This is where students lose seats they could have got. The rules:

  • Add as many options as possible — top brass say "minimum 80, ideally 200+"
  • Order is everything. Allotment goes top-down till one option clears.
  • Don't add only Hyderabad colleges. Add 2–3 backup colleges in your home district.
  • Branch order matters more than college name — most CSE branches > MECH at top tier college.
Use **RankPilot4U's Seat Simulator** to test 5–10 option orders before submitting.

5. Round-by-round strategy

  • Round 1: Be aggressive. Cutoffs tend to be tightest.
  • Round 2: If allotted but not happy, "exercise self-reporting + sliding" to upgrade.
  • Round 3 (final phase): Cutoffs relax by 15–25%. Don't skip — many students get their dream branch here.

6. Self-reporting deadline

Pay tuition + report to college portal within 48 hours of allotment. Missing this cancels your seat. There is no extension.

7. Common mistakes

  • Adding only 20–30 options
  • Putting branch above college (or vice versa) without thought
  • Skipping Round 3
  • Forgetting to upload caste/income certificate before allotment

8. After Round 3

Vacant seats go through spot admission at college level. Walk in with documents. Lesser known colleges sometimes have CSE seats open.
